For the end of my internship, I wrote a week by week breakdown on my contributions to the production team to show what I have accomplished and learned during my time with the company.

Week 1

  • Reviewed Production Materials/Documentation
  • Watched Meeting Recordings to Understand Company Culture
  • Watched Project Retrospectives to Gain Understanding of Game’s Production
  • Read Through Production’s Miro Boards

Week 2

  • Facilitated Interdepartmental Meeting/Playtest between Narrative and Audio
  • Learned Favro, Created and Assigned Tasks for both Narrative and Audio
  • Wrote Community Development Article to Get Out in Front of the Team


Week 3

  • Kept Favro and Mantis Aligned
  • Researched and Created Timelines For Development
  • Continued Work with Audio and Narrative as Strike Team Prepared for Soft Lock
  • Studied QA Daily Processes


Week 4

  • Created Timeline of Past Development, Blocking Out Phases and Irregularities
  • Worked Alongside QA to create Ready for Playtest List, Following and Investigating Tasks
  • Worked with Code on Triaging Narrative Bugs for VS
  • Continued Favro Updates Based on Mantis and QA’s Validation


Week 5

  • Setting Up Meetings and Facilitating Documentation with Narrative
  • Working Closely with QA to Help Validate Final Sprint Tasks
  • Reaching Out to Departments on Specific Tasks and Closing Stragglers Out
  • Closed Out Mantis Hit List


Week 6

  • Created List of “Potential Progression Blockers” for End of Kleenex Testing
  • Generated Upgrade Pickup Rate Charts from Kleenex Tests to Make Up for Lack of
    Telemetry
  • Assisted Production in Creating Design Action Block Library
  • Assisted Production with June Show & Tell


Week 8

  • Created Charts of Quantified Survey Responses
  • Assisted with Block Schedule Scratch
  • Gave Feedback to Narrative on Company-Wide Presentation
  • Translated Environment Art & VFX Concerns to Tech Debt Favro


Week 9

  • Created and Formatted Tech Debt in Favro
  • Started to Tackle Level Design Workflow Issues with Production
  • Prepared Structure and Tech for In-Person Meetings
  • Set Up Numerous Meetings for Company-Wide In-Person Event


Week 10

  • Running Tech Debt Meetings with Production
  • Worked with Code to Adapt to Schedule and Manage Tech Debt Meetings
  • Adapting Miro Boards from Meetings to Favro Tasks
  • Followed Up with Departments as Needed


Week 11

  • Facilitating and Managing the Tech Debt Estimation / T-Shirt Sizing
  • Created New Fields for Jira to Smooth Transition for Team
  • Following Up with Departments on Needs for Production


Week 12
